WORDS
These are words.
Words I have written from my heart without thinking first, just feeling.
These are personal and not for every visitor to my site but they are here for you to read and ponder if it calls you.
Wherever possible, refrain from judgment, logic or spell correct, just read if you want to, and feel.
They often sing the songs of my instruments as i write, as you read.
They fill my heart with memory, love, fear, grief, nostalgia, loss and the depth infinity of life’s experience and, in most cases, i can not control what makes itself appear on the page, its beyond me. For you, for all.
salty tears make beautiful gardens
Did you know that salty tears make beautiful gardens? Wild filigree grows and swamps sing with lotus leaves. I swam in the swamp, salty and sweet, clawed through you until i found your soul……it was hard like rocks and dirt, wrapped my leaves around it and became one with the earth.
Make me a cloud where i can lay. Let it hold the bits and pieces as they drop away, decay. But you can’t do that, you will surely die? Didn’t you know, i died last September in the rain of the night.
To understand the sea
I held you tight, I held you too tight, so tight that my hands stopped working and I had to release you to the estuary, to the sea.
I swam for days, weeks, months, years and found no sign of your scent, sound and salt.
I swam so much that my legs fell off.
Passing through the heads of the land that meet the ocean, I saw coral, colours, the most beautiful creatures with no arms, no legs. I forgot about your smell and sang to the sea, grew tentacles that spread so wide and far I no longer needed to understand. To understand the sea, to understand me.
I wish i were a song
I wish I were a song to feed and hold.
I wish I were a song with no need for anything but the earth
I wish I were a song, spacious and formless, touching everything in its path.
I wish I were a song, so precious, so disposable.
I wish I were a song.
Sky’s life ocean
Thousands of spider webs shining after the rainstorm.
Droplets holding onto tiny threads woven by your fingers.
Droplets holding on for dear life, dangling in the mist.
Watching the sunlight shred through your beautiful maze as the remnants of sky’s life ocean hold your story almost gone.
October
Today, is a day, the only day today
October, is a month, the only month in October.
13 is a number, the only number that is 13.
Your smile, it’s the only smile that is yours, you are the only one with your smile.
What will I do now today is almost over, will you smile for me on October 13, a day in a month when you smiled, what will happen when its over?
Tomorrow, the next day and the day after that.
October, November, December I can’t remember.
Lets go home, where its warm, ill show you the way, hold my hand.
Today not tomorrow.
Slow motion elbows
When the grass lifted from the earth and the glitter of the tips of their blades swam like an ocean, we sat by the fire and laughed.
Slow motion elbows, mouth and feet.
We sank into the sky, swept back by the fire, over and over again. The smoke from my cigarette danced into the stars like a lover in the night.
I followed it until it disappeared, a lover lost, I smoke again, this time I blow out with pursed lips jaw and mouth round as the planets emerge from my lungs and orbit into infinity.
My lovers keep disappearing into space.
